Monroe Community College's Department of Public Safety Aims for Reaccreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) will reassess Monroe Community College’s Department of Public Safety accreditation next month. This will be the department's first reaccreditation with CALEA’s Campus Security Program, which focuses on the safety and security of students through 140 standards, including but not limited to facility risk, regulatory reporting, and preventive patrols.

As part of the reaccreditation process, CALEA is asking the public for feedback about MCC’s Public Safety Department by July 9, 2024. To provide feedback, please visit Public Safety's webpage to complete the survey.

The Commission of Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) is a private organization founded in 1979 as a credentialing authority through the joint efforts of law enforcement’s major executive associations, who provide best practice standards for agencies who voluntarily participate in the accreditation process.
